The Center is named after Pa Daniel Adewole Awe, a former health inspector, who had a passion for the health and wellness of his community. Despite his personal passion for health, Pa Adewole Awe suffered from high blood pressure. He received the best treatments available and was well-supported by his family. Unfortunately, Pa Adewole Awe died from complications of a stroke that resulted from uncontrolled high blood pressure. With the thought that this tragedy struck a man with as much knowledge, resources, and support as Pa Daniel had, what was to become of millions of Nigerians who were less fortunate. It is from that commitment to improving the health outcomes for Nigerians by bringing quality care close to home that DAAMC was born.
